The Commission were delighted to see financial inclusion included in the portfolio of Economic Secretary to the Treasury Steven Barclay. We are looking forward to the publication of the government's agenda on financial inclusion.
Party Conference 2017
We are delighted to be partnering with Prospect at this year's Labour and Conservative Party Conferences.
Last week we were very grateful that Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury Peter Dowd MP and Shadow Communities and Local Government Minister Yvonne Fovargue MP took the time to speak at our Labour Party Conference event in Brighton.
Next week the new Minister for Financial Inclusion Guy Opperman MP will join us at our event at Conservative Party Conference. This will take place at 19.00 on Monday 3 October in the Midland Hotel.
To coincide with our events Prospects have published two pieces by the Commission and our sponsor, Mastercard. These can be found here and here.
If you would like one of our Commissioners to appear on a panel event you are organising, please do contact firstname.lastname@example.org

Separately, with the support of the FCA Consumer Insight Unit, the Financial Inclusion Commission launched its own inquiry on access to insurance focusing on household insurance.
